Dream surf van - number 1

I've become a little obsessed with finding the right surf van (it's my aim to buy one by next summer) so here's a few posts about the vans I've spotted around Melbs and the coast. It's kind of like my 'Muriel's Wedding' version of a scrapbook. No wedding dresses here though.

This one is an old Toyota and it was parked out the front of the post office near my work. It was sparkling in the sun all shiny and green. A tradie van amazingly kitted out. I was so overjoyed at my discovery I left a note under the windscreen wiper asking them to contact me if they ever want to sell.

I'm still waiting.

  1. Seems like you’ve taken quite a fascination with this Toyota van! I can’t blame you though. The van looks properly maintained and in good condition. The owners must be very surprised with the note that you left for them. I’m certain that you will be the first one to come to mind once they decide to sell the vehicle. But if you are in a rush to have a van, you can look around dealerships of used vehicles near your area. I’m sure that you can find one that will suit your budget and taste.

  2. This van is charming, indeed, especially its vibrant green color. :) The color green has a way to soothe and help an individual relax mentally. Also, it helps in alleviating depression and anxiety. Anyway, did they get in touch with you? :)

  3. It’s just good to have a surf van because you can put there all your gear and equipment that you‘ll need on your surf trip! That one on the picture looks great! Like Delsie, I also love its color, and just by looking at it, I can say that it’s still in good condition. “I was so overjoyed at my discovery I left a note under the windscreen wiper asking them to contact me if they ever want to sell.”- Hahaha! So, did they contact you? You’re such a lucky guy if they’re really planning to sell that vehicle. Haha!

  4. I like your taste. A vehicle like that is sure handy and might be a big help with what you usually do! If you’ll ever have the chance to own something like that, what color do you prefer? Are you gonna put some modifications to make the vehicle a bit more stylish?

  5. That van right there seems to be a practical choice, since it looks tough and capable of traversing different rough terrains. If you ever get to own this one, or a similar vehicle, you can make it more functional by adding some accessories that will make for more convenience. These may include roof racks that allow you to carry more stuff without eating too much leg room. I hope you’ll find the right surf van for you! Drive safely. =)
