Dream surf van / wagon / truck - number 20
Spotted this beauty in Airey's Inlet on another flat-as-a-lake-let's-get-a-coffee-and-go-for-a-walk-on-the-beach instead. Given it was about 7.30am on a Saturday, I figured this van lover had probably thought the same.
I love Kombis. My sister bought an awesome one in Darwin back in the 90s. It had dents in the roof from ferals climbing on top of it and jumping to pick mangoes from the tree it was parked under. My sister was furious. It's funny though, right?
A Kombi would be just the perfect vehicle to take to the beach. Any car would do, but it wouldn't be as appealing. This VW has a certain appeal which simply blends well with mornings, walk at the beach, and other words you can relate to it. It brings a feeling of liberation, which we all want to get absorbed in once in while. :) What happened to your sister's, by the way?
