4 Reasons Why the Ocean is Like Your Boyfriend

I spent most of Valentine's Day listening to this mix, looking lovingly at Betty Shazam and hanging out with some of my amazing mates at a party. I would think even if I did have a dude in my life Valentine's Day would be pretty much the same. Romance comes in many ways, over many days, as far I'm concerned.

Anyhoo, I did my weekly read-through of the surf blogs and came across this post: '4 Reasons Why the Ocean is Like Your Girlfriend'. I'd like to follow-up with '4 Reasons Why the Ocean is Like Your Boyfriend'.

1. There's nothing like a throwdown
A good ole-fashioned throwdown. Yeow! Sometimes you come up breathless and laughing and sometimes you come up for air feeling a little dazed and confused. Either way you keep on going back for more.

2. It was the best of times ... it was the worst of times
Like any relationship, you have your ups and downs. Some days the sun is shining, the wind is blowing in your hair and you look at your loved one as though they have dolphins and dugongs frollicking in the depths of their deep blue eyes. Other days you're hesitant to dip your toe in with those dark and stormy looks, and circle around before finally taking the plunge.

3. Good looks and charm work a treat
The sparkles and twinkles and loving caresses on your body. Dahhhhhhaaaymmmm. Just one more ride and you'll start your day and get that (what was it again?) stuff done. And suddenly you're starving, it's lunch time and you're wondering where the hell the morning went.

4. It's unpredictable
What can start off as 'Oh let's just have a bit of fun' can turn into a mad and passionate affair - a full-blown obsession. Your first thought in the morning and your last thought at night is them. It's a craving like no other.
